In the past have you notice that when you exercise in the morning, you feel more alert and productive for the remaining of the day? A morning workout has several advantages for your body and mind! Now finding the motivation to get those 30 minutes of movement is the real challenge. No matter what kind of exerciser you are, I’m sure you want to sweat more and feel better. However you find it a struggle to find the time or motivation to make fitness a priority. Which is why today I wanted to share 4 tips to stay motivated throughout your fitness journey. 1. GIVE YOURSELF A REAL REWARD Let’s be real many of us aren’t simply satisfied by knowing exercising regularly will give us better health. I myself need a bit more of motivation to get through every month. This past few months I have been rewarding myself to NEW fitness gear, that I wouldn’t normally purchase. However I only reward myself if I have truly being exercising 5X a week, and eating well. You can reward yourself endless ways! Just find something that suits your personality best.

2. STAY POSITIVE Positive thinking has long promoted visualizing the benefits of a behavior, in this case exercising. For example when thinking of heading out for a run in the morning, focus on the morning breeze rather than running. The way you will more likely get out of bed!

3. INVEST IN WORKOUT GEAR This tip also ties down with tip #1 because you can reward yourself to expensive pieces. I personally don’t recommend heading out and spending hundreds on gear. Rather buy yourself 2 whole outfits to alternate from throughout the week. As time goes by purchase a sports bra one week, a pair of shoes another week and so on. The way your wallet won’t suffer to much! Also if your plan is to loose weight you don’t want to be left with endless outfits that aren’t your size in the future.

4. FIND A PROGRAM THAT IS BEST FOR YOU I can’t stress enough how the gym isn’t for everyone! While it is for some, there is others who do way better from home. I personally have had success from both the gym and home. Indeed I exercise from both weekly, depending what suits my schedule the best.
