I’m super excited to be part of the Pit Crew Oil Change with Quaker State® Oil campaign since my Fiesta was due for an oil change. My car will be a year old this November and it still hasn’t ask me for an oil change. In all honesty this sort of worried me because I know oil change is due every three months, and it has been way past that. So been an impatient person I went into Walmart to take advantage of their Pit Crew Oil Change that retails for only $19.88. If you have a car that is due for an oil change I highly recommend you stop by Walmart as I found they have the best deals in town.
In the near future I’m going to drag Omar to also take advantage of the Quaker State® Oil as it has become my go to. I always knew of the Walmart Auto Care Center but I never knew how affordable the services were. If you happen to follow me on social media then you already I take frequent road trips, and taking care of my car is a priority. The way I can insure I can have a safe trip there and back, with one less thing to worry about. I don’t travel very far but since I do cross the border to Mexico to visit my family the road changes drastically. Luckily my car let’s me accomplish my frequent visits to visit my mother whom I wish I saw more often.
The first couple of times I drove down to Mexicali I would get completely ready at home, but I no longer do that. I do make sure to have my hair styled at home so I won’t have a crazy frizz head. As far as makeup goes I only do my skincare because otherwise it will be ruined by the time I get to my destination. I’ve learned that a few hours in a car can do so much damage to a full face of makeup, that I just wait until I’m almost there. I normally stop to use the restroom a few times, so I take advantage and do a natural makeup look.
First off I start by applying a long wear foundation that can stay through humidity and heat, because in Mexicali the weather is extreme. I also have learned that when it comes to makeup in the summer less is more, because it will hold up better.
I make sure to set my foundation with powder because it helps to diminish the changes of it moving around. Also since my dark circles aren’t that noticeable at the moment so I skip concealer to have one less thing to worry about.
The most important step in my routine are eyebrows! I make sure to do my eyebrows after foundation and powder to make sure they won’t budge throughout the day. Since I don’t always have much time when I’m on the road, I stick to powder. The way I can make sure they will be acceptable and last a good amount of time.
A step I never miss either are my lashes because they complete any makeup, and take it to another level. I always make sure to take along a waterproof mascara because I don’t want it to smear or budge through the day. I haven’t found the perfect one for Mexicali just yet but I will in no time.
Although this routine only included a few steps my lips are normally washed out by the time I finish. Since I don’t want a high maintenance lip color when I’m in my hometown I stick with lip balms. They are moisturizing and deposit enough color to complete my natural makeup look. Y listo, ahori si vamonos!
Los momentos en familia son los mejores! That’s why anything time I drive down to Mexicali I make sure to enjoy time with everyone. Although I don’t live very far I don’t always have the opportunity to visit them because of work. Been the only one in my instant family who lives in the United States makes it very hard for me because I miss them insanely. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to live in this country and visit them whenever possible, and I will always be grateful for that. I just came back from Mexicali yesterday, y no la pasamos de pelos. If your car is due for an oil change don’t forget to stop by Walmart’s Auto Car and see what they offer. Quaker State® is a great oil at a great price!
